Turning Tension into Trust: Conflict avoidance in complex project environments

Turning Tension into Trust: Conflict avoidance in complex project environments

Join us, the Conflict Avoidance Coalition and the Institution of Civil Engineers for a panel discussion exploring how project environments can support earlier, more effective handling of conflict.

The ICE’s five-year strategy points to a growing challenge: trust in infrastructure professionals. With recent project failures putting that trust under pressure, this session looks at how conflict within projects can surface and intensify these issues, and what can be done to address them before they escalate.

Featuring guest panellists from the Environment Agency and the Houses of Parliament Restoration and Renewal Programme, the discussion draws on real case studies and live project experience to explore what enables teams to identify issues early and respond constructively.

While innovation continues to improve productivity, projects are ultimately delivered by people. It is the conflicts between them – and how they are managed or avoided – that often determine success.
