University of East Anglia – The Enterprise Centre
The Enterprise Centre was a technically challenging scheme, delivering a signature building used by both academic and commercial stakeholders; for teaching and as a hub for local businesses. In 2015, it won the Sustainable Achievement Award at the Education Estates Awards and was also commended in the Best Project (Colleges and Universities) category.
Working with the project team we learned that traditional construction risk registers don’t include risks resulting from the interaction of individuals or risks due to organizational practices and systems, and these can be some of the most critical to successful delivery. Being able to capture and manage these risks through continual engagement had a direct benefit to the traditional measures of cost, time and quality, and the overall success of the project.
