Challenging the mobilisation myth: Driving performance through effective contract mobilisation

Team mobilisation is often seen as a half-day activity to generate a behavioural charter that becomes a poster on the meeting room wall and is then largely ignored for the rest of the contract. In recent years, however, there are a number of projects and programmes that have significantly increased performance by taking a systematic approach to contract mobilisation.

This workshop will explore various approaches to mobilisation including:

  • Starting early in the procurement process
  • Cutting across internal silos to align deliverables and contractual scope
  • Aligning internal maturity with desired partner maturity and behaviours
  • Adopting a pragmatic approach based on the reality of the environment
  • Designing and preparing from first impressions to valued long-term relationships

In this session, we will be joined by Liz Lawman, Head of Mobilisation at HS2, who will share her experiences in mobilising multiple major contracts within a single programme.

The event has been designed to cover general industry learning and encourage peer-to-peer sessions to challenge assumptions and develop bespoke possibilities for mobilisation strategies for those in the room.

For this workshop, we’ve partnered with the Major Projects Association (MPA). The event is open to both members and non-members of the MPA and has also been advertised on their website.
